For those of us that like vampires and all (and that's hopefully everyone) you should check out this comic.
I suggest going back to the beginning and reading all of it, even the backstories of the characters under the character link. There are angsty vampires, bad vampires, and the notoriously fantastic vampires like Seth. He's all around everyone's favorite character. Not to mention werewolves, mages, sorcerers, deamons, and other assorted creatures of the fantastic.
SO GO AND CHECK IT OUT!!!

10:28AM - Teeth
Anyone know of a place that does custom vampire teeth? Whether I can find them online or somthing? My friend and I went to a masqurade ball the other day, him dressed as a high class Edwardian era man, complete with lace cuffs on his shirt sleeves, and top hat and all, and I in my pinstripe suit with fedora and two tone shoes, and people kept coming up to him and I saying that they needed to go home and watch Interview with a Vampire because of our absolute comfort in our older style clothing.
We both are trying to find out where you can get custom teeth, like the retainers with teeth that you can use with ease.
Just wondering if anyone knew.

4:32PM - Vampire coat...
You know the cool swishy swish coats that the vampires have in the movies or books, the kind that flow behind them and ruffle the wind in their wake?
Go to this website,
and you will see my new coat. It is mine my pretty, it is mine.
And they have other cool stuff. If you know of Hot Topic, (which I hope you all do), they used to supply them before HT was taken over by the Gap.

I am your standard Anne Rice loving, Buffy and Angel watching, Laurell K. Hamilton reading vampire lover. Don't worry, not in a creepy way, but I do research and write papers on them and talk about them as much as possible. In an alternate reality, if they exsisted, I would be one as well as other friends I have, but we aren't the creepy kind described in the first post. We just would be given the chance. To Y_Fish, I am in love with your icons because I am a Narnia fan myself. Hopefully this community will grow and we can have more people.
Hope I am welcomed! (Even though I noted on the quiz there is one error with the first question: Vampires cannot come in unless invited. I know Anne Rice ignores that rule, but I chuckled when I saw it. Please tell me I'm not weired...)

I recently just saw a production of the story of Dracula. Vell,a modern version. Very interesting. Dracula was taking over this one chick, Lucy, in his neighborhood by seducting her. Some other chick that he turned into a vampire had her own set of young vampire girls, that in the end, passed on the vampire legacy since all the other vampires died. I wanted to know if anyone else had heard some different versions of the story of Dracula or had some books that they would prescribe for my addiction. For anyone that can help, please do so. I would appreciate it.

7:27PM - Halloween
So, nine days away from the big night, what are people planning for Halloween costumes? Any vampires? I myself will be dressing as Mina Harker, with fangs, bite marks, and a burn mark on my forehead, just as Stoker described her near the end of the book. If I learn how to post pictures on this journal, I'll show you what the costume looks like.
Who else is dressing as a vampire for Halloween?

7:35PM - Conversation
A conversation that took place between my friend Kasey and me last Friday:
Me: Kasey, don't let me forget to see Ms. M before I leave school.
Me: I need to sign up for the blood drive.
Kasey: Jeez, Emma, you really like vampires that much?
Me: What? No, Kasey! Blood drive. As in, run by the Red Cross. Nothing to do with vampires.
Kasey: Oh, come on, you know you're just there for the vampires.
Me: No, I'm there for the dying leukemia patients and car crash victims--
Kasey: --and sexy vampires.
Me: There are no vampires involved with high school blood drives.
Kasey: Oh, you just wish there were.
Me: DAMMIT KASEY THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH VAMPIRES!

(Not in bold just to be difficult) Hello my name's Willow Halloway, or Will for short. I got 4% on the quiz, I didn't feel like posting my results.
I enjoy anything related to darkness, but have a childhood fear of the dark. I first got into vampires about four or five, my mother dressed me up as a dark gypsy. After some research around 7 I took on the name "Muli", if you don't know what it means, google it. It was more to spite my mother more than anything else. My favorite vampire literature is Giaour, and Carmilla. All of which are classics. I also like anything by Anne Rice, been reading her books since I was young, that might be why I act like an as… never mind.
~Joseph Sheridan le Fanu > Abraham Stoker.

10:25PM - Welcome to the Community!
Welcome, everyone! ...um... everyone? *crickets chirp* ...All right, so welcome to the one or two people here! I'm Y. Fish, creator of this community. Please look over the overview of the community in this journal's User Info before you join-- it may not be what you think it is.
In keeping with the AA-type theme of this message board, introductory posts should start out with, in bold, "Hello, my name is (your name), and I am obsessed with vampires." Then you can post your results from the Vampire Vulnerability Quiz under a cut- a funny quiz, and a good way to introduce yourself. You can write anything you want to about yourself- favorite authors, what you wore to work/school today, blood type. Here's what my introductory post looks like:
Hello, my name is Y. Fish, and I am obsessed with vampires.
( Vampire Vulnerability Test ResultsCollapse )
I enjoy long walks on the beach and romantic nights of batwatching with sonar-detecting equiptment and lots of mosquito repellent. I first got into vampires when I was in first grade, watching the Nickelodeon show "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" My favorite vampire stories are "Blood Libel" by Leigh Ann Hussey and Dracula, in that order. I'm an O+, I think, and I've just turned the requisite age for donating to the annual blood drive at my school. Little squeamish about that, but I'm signing up anyway because it's the right thing to do.
Now it's your turn. Tell us about yourselves!
